Client: Multinational corporation

Date: September 2026

Location: Accra, Ghana & Lagos, Nigeria

Background

A multinational corporation engaged NSSG to provide end-to-end Journey Management and Ground Support for a senior delegation travelling to Ghana and Nigeria on business.

Prior to arrival, NSSG conducted a comprehensive risk assessment of all routes, venues, and meeting locations. This process mapped potential threats, identified security gaps, and prepared contingency measures, ensuring the team was fully briefed and ready.

Throughout the assignment, NSSG delivered coordinated secure transportation, precise route planning, and continuous logistical and security support—enabling seamless movement and complete peace of mind for the client.

Solutions

Ensuring seamless executive mobility through proactive journey management and ground support across Ghana and Nigeria

The Challenge

A six-day multi-country executive itinerary spanning Ghana and Nigeria required discreet, reliable journey management and ground support capable of safeguarding a five-person delegation without disrupting their schedule or experience.

Both Accra and Lagos are characterized by dense traffic conditions that elevate the risk of road accidents and unforeseen delays. This operational pressure was intensified by the need to visit approximately 8–10 distinct venues in each city within tightly constrained 2–3-day windows.

At every venue, the security team maintained continuous situational awareness throughout drop-off, guest arrivals, the duration of each engagement, and departure, ensuring controlled and orderly movements. The team was further tasked with preventing unauthorized photography of the principals by other attendees.

Given the compressed timeline and elevated risk environment, any delay or security shortfall carried material consequences. The overriding priority was therefore to protect the client during every movement while preserving a seamless, discreet, and professional atmosphere.

Our Approach

NSSG’s security assets directed comprehensive pre-travel planning and on-ground coordination, encompassing:

Throughout the assignment, NSSG’s 24/7 C3i operations center maintained continuous live oversight, enabling rapid real-time adjustments to itineraries, routes and security postures. This ensured the client remained protected, on schedule and free from unnecessary disruption.

The Outcome

Despite heavy traffic congestion between venues, zero road incidents occurred. This result was secured through the disciplined application of pre-planned alternative routes, developed during the formal route risk assessment conducted prior to the client’s arrival.

The C3i operations center maintained continuous real-time monitoring of both Accra and Lagos, providing immediate situational updates and enabling rapid route or posture adjustments when required. No incidents were recorded and no escalation was necessary at any stage.

Strict coordination protocols between the on-ground security team, local ground support, and the operations center ensured seamless, controlled transitions across both countries. The client received only essential, time-critical guidance—allowing the executives to remain fully focused on their business objectives.

Delegation feedback was unequivocally positive. Principals confirmed they felt fully secure throughout all movements and valued the clear, professional direction delivered by the security team under established operational protocols.

This assignment confirms NSSG’s ability to deliver discreet, adaptive, and highly effective risk management. Through rigorous pre-mission planning, continuous C3i oversight, and disciplined on-ground execution, we provide journey management and ground support that protects without intrusion—so clients can concentrate on what matters most.
