Former Assistant Commissioner for Intelligence NY Police Department, Former Senior Executive CIA (Central Intelligence Agency)
As founder and President of CAGN Global, USA Ltd, Mr Sanchez advised in the Middle East between 2011-2018, managing and directing operational training for the UAE government.
From August 2004 to December 2010 he was appointed as the Assistant Commissioner for Intelligence.
Prior to his appointment to the New York City Police Department, Mr. Sanchez served as a senior executive with the Central Intelligence Agency, which he joined in 1984. During his CIA career, Mr. Sanchez served in the Clandestine Service, including assignments in the former Soviet Union, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. He also held a variety of senior positions in both the operational and analytic arms of the CIA.
Mr. Sanchez has extensive experience with international organizations and served as the CIA intelligence advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and as a director in the CIA’s Nonproliferation Center.
In 1998, Mr. Sanchez was the first CIA official to be appointed Director of Intelligence for the Department of Energy, serving as the intelligence advisor to the Secretary of Energy during both the Clinton and Bush Administrations.
Following 9/11, Mr Sanchez served as the Director of Central Intelligence’s special representative to New York City’s counterterrorism community, including the NYPD’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Divisions, FBI’s JTTF, New York State’s Office of Public Security, and New Jersey’s Office of Counterterrorism. Mr. Sanchez acted as the link between these organizations and the US Intelligence Community—providing them with both strategic and tactical foreign intelligence and threat analysis.
