Client: International engineering company
Date: May 2021
Location: Mexico
A leading international engineering company requested NSSG provide support for an upcoming development project scheduled to take place in one of Mexico’s ports, where several of their expatriate engineers were requested to work.
To correctly determine the level of risk in the area of operations, NSSG performed a Project Risk Assessment, considering both the area around the port, and the routes required to reach it from the closest international airport. In the assessment, NSSG analysed the socioeconomic environment in the areas of interest and mapped the main actors, including organised criminal groups, civil society groups, and the state security forces. In doing so, NSSG assessed the threats to which the client staff was likely to be exposed, to then provide recommendations for the appropriate risk-mitigation measures.
Following the delivery of the risk assessment, NSSG implemented a security management system that included secure transportation for project staff and 24/7 remote support from our C3i.
